Anau Coral Garden
Bora Bora · French Polynesia
A shallow coral garden on the lagoon's northeastern side where hard coral bommies rise from white sand at 5 to 15 meters. Lemon sharks rest in the sand channels between bommies, apparently unbothered by divers, and blacktip reef sharks cruise the perimeter. The site is calm enough for snorkelers but rich enough for experienced divers to spend a full dive exploring coral heads packed with butterflyfish, moorish idols, and resting nurse sharks.
