Pelican Rock

Cabo San Lucas · Mexico

Pelican Rock is the beginner-friendly reef of Cabo San Lucas, sheltered inside the bay beneath towering rock spires. Colourful tropical species fill every crevice — king angelfish, pufferfish, moray eels, and the ubiquitous Cortez rainbow wrasse. Depths stay shallow and the surge is gentle, making it ideal for new divers or those who want to slow down and look at small things. Night diving here reveals octopus, hermit crabs, and sleeping parrotfish.
