Gili Mimpang
Candidasa · Indonesia
Three rocky outcrops northeast of Candidasa form Gili Mimpang, an exciting drift and reef dive with sloping walls covered in sea fans and diverse soft corals. Black-tip and white-tip reef sharks are reliably seen here, along with large Napoleon wrasse and giant trevally hunting the reef edge. Current direction changes throughout the dive, keeping divers alert, and the nutrient-rich upwellings attract pelagic visitors regularly.
