Shark City
German Channel · Palau
A dramatic wall and plateau site just south of German Channel where grey reef sharks and whitetip reef sharks congregate in numbers that justify the name. The outer wall drops past 40 meters with strong currents that aggregate fish life and nutrients, drawing sharks into a visible mass on the reef edge. Bumphead parrotfish schools are a morning feature, and the plateau top at 15 meters is one of Palau's most productive shark-watching perches.
