Cap Blanc
Ibiza and Formentera · Spain
The white limestone headland of Cap Blanc on Ibiza's southwest coast conceals an extraordinary underwater cave system accessible to qualified divers from open water. Sea caves wind through the cliff base, their ceilings draped with orange cup corals and inhabited by large moray eels that retreat into the shadows as divers approach. Outside the caves the reef wall drops through gorgonians and sea fans to a sandy bottom rich with invertebrate life.
