El Farito
Isla Mujeres · Mexico
El Farito is a beloved coral pinnacle on the southwest side of Isla Mujeres that rises from a sandy 18-metre floor to within 5 metres of the surface, functioning as a busy cleaning station visited by sea turtles and eagle rays throughout the day. The pinnacle is draped in gorgonian sea fans and sponges, and the resident cleaning wrasses and gobies work in plain sight among the coral heads. Gentle currents keep visibility excellent and make it a relaxed dive suitable for all levels while still delivering big-animal encounters.
