Shark Point
Lombok · Indonesia
One of the signature dives of the Gili Islands, Shark Point sits off the southern tip of Gili Trawangan where the reef shelf drops sharply into open water. Blacktip reef sharks cruise the upper slope at 12 to 18 metres with impressive regularity, while green turtles rest on coral heads below. The reef crest is rich in table corals, sea fans, and schooling fusiliers, and the current — when running — pushes divers effortlessly along the wall while attracting pelagics from the deep.
