Shark Reef
Long Island · Bahamas
Shark Reef is Long Island's signature shark encounter dive, a shallow coral plateau at 12-18 metres where Stella Maris Resort has conducted controlled shark feeds for decades. Caribbean reef sharks, lemon sharks, and occasional bull sharks congregate here with predictable regularity, making it one of the most reliable multi-species shark encounters in the Atlantic. The coral plateau between feeds is a beautiful reef in its own right, with healthy brain coral and large seafans surrounding the central sandy arena.
