Binidali Gorgonian Garden
Menorca · Spain
A sheltered eastern bay containing one of Menorca's most accessible and intact posidonia-to-gorgonian transition dives: Neptune grass stretches to 15 metres before giving way to sloping rock encrusted with yellow sea fans, red coral nubbins, and dense sponge communities. Sea horses hide in the grass blades and nudibranch diversity peaks here in spring, with the protected bay holding calm conditions long after the south coast is stirred up.
