Large solitary barracuda and loose schools of 20-50 individuals circle the upper pinnacle, using the rock as a current break while hunting schooling fusiliers. Their torpedo profiles and iridescent silver scales are a defining feature of Lima Rock's mid-water column. The combination of strong tidal flow and bait-fish abundance makes this one of the Arabian Peninsula's most reliable barracuda encounters.
