Bandar Khayran
Muscat · Oman
A sheltered fjord-like inlet southeast of Muscat where mangrove channels give way to coral-fringed limestone reefs — the calm, protected water makes it ideal for macro hunting and night dives. Nudibranchs carpet the rubble slopes while eagle rays cruise the sandy corridors between patch reefs. The combination of mangrove nursery habitat and open-water reef creates unusually rich juvenile fish populations.
