Teluk Dalam
Redang Island · Malaysia
Teluk Dalam is Redang's premier macro site, a sheltered bay where seagrass meadows meet coral rubble slopes to create a rich mosaic of microhabitats that harbour some of the rarest small creatures in the South China Sea. Seahorses anchor themselves to sea whips in the shallows while ornate ghost pipefish drift invisibly among crinoids, and tiny nudibranchs in electric colours crawl across every available surface. The calm conditions and gentle depth profile make this an ideal site for underwater photographers and those who prefer to move slowly and see everything.
