Dollabarat
São Miguel · Portugal
A seamount system close to São Miguel's southern coast, Dollabarat is the Azores' signature blue-shark dive and offers open-ocean encounters unlike anything found on a reef. Operators run chummed blue-water sessions where dozens of blue sharks circle within arm's reach while the odd mako or shortfin appears from deeper water. When the pelagic show calms, sections of the mount host impressive schools of amberjack, Atlantic wrasse, and the occasional blue marlin cruising the mid-water column.
