Une-Une WWII Wreck

Tomini Bay, Togian Islands · Indonesia

A Japanese WWII cargo vessel sits upright in 30 m off the volcanic Une-Une Island, largely unexplored and thickly encrusted with soft corals and sponges. The hold is intact and penetrable for experienced divers. Lionfish patrol the railings and schools of batfish hover over the superstructure.
