Rainbow Passage

Tufi · Papua New Guinea

A narrow channel between two fjord walls where tidal flow accelerates and concentrates fish life into a dense, colourful spectacle. Schooling anthias, fusiliers, and glassfish fill the water column while giant grouper and dogtooth tuna patrol the current lines. The passage walls are encrusted with basket sponges, wire coral, and massive sea fans rivalling anything in the Coral Triangle.
