Dense schools of disc-shaped Atlantic spadefish are a hallmark of Desecheo dives, rotating around divers in perfectly synchronised columns near the surface and mid-water. Their boldness and photogenic black-and-white banding make them a favourite with underwater photographers.

How is this calculated?
